A welcome message from State President Keith Goodfellow

     Welcome to the website for the Sons of the American Revolution-Mississippi Society. The Sons of the American Revolution is not political. It is the largest men’s genealogic organization in the United States. Our members can prove a direct lineage from a patriot who supported the American cause in the War for  Independence from Great Britain, thus establishing the United States of America. We promote the ideals of the American Revolution and remembrance of the patriots who gave us a free country.

      We have an active Youth Awards Program with winners on a chapter, state and national level. For elementary school we have a poster contest and for middle school a brochure contest. High school level awards include essay, oration, video, JROTC and Eagle Scout.

      American History Teacher Awards are given to Middle and High school teachers. Numerous civic awards are offered, as well as, genealogy classes for veterans. Our Color Guard is active throughout the state marking patriot graves and participating in other patriotic activities.

      Please join us in celebrating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the founding of our country.
